The bowels of our darkest despairs. Giving people a second chances. Being thrutful to our desires. This and much more is this novel: a voyage through our darkest recesses. It's almost a classical today (thanks also to the masterpiece from Kubrick) but it's as fresh as it was written a month ago.
The plot is known to everybody: a family composed by mom dad and child will be the next winter guardian at the Overlook Hotel, an opulent mansion amidst the Colorado's mountains. From this simple incipit the author manage to create a sens of tension and despair that permeates through every page, and it's not done by using monsters and other tangible atrocities: the real evil is in our souls
